Classifying Habit Scenarios

We worked on how to be positive today and spread that positivity with others. We watched the cartoon version of Horton Hears A Who and discussed what the moral of the story was. They came up with 'No matter how different a person is, they deserve to be respected and treated like you would anyone else'. On that note, we talked about what random acts of kindness were.

I gave the kids this sheet and we discussed what we can do to live our lives in a positive way and how to spread kindness to others by modeling it. They will try and do these throughout the year and check off the ones they do.

Today the kids classified different scenarios that go with the 7 habits. This activity is available here.  They read the scenarios and had to decide if it was an example of the habit or not. They had a great time and it is amazing the great conversations that came out of this activity!
