Here is a check for understanding check mark my kids use during Daily 5. This allows them to have something in their hands while the other person is reading. It also helps them with asking questions. My kids LOVE these! I copy them on different colored carstock and laminate them, then cut them out. They've lasted me two years so far. Love them!
During Daily Five we use this check off chart. I allow the students to pick the stations they want to go to as long as they go to all stations by the end of our reading block.
